All About Kindergarten
On the first day of kindergarten, your child officially becomes a student! It’s an exciting transition as young learners move from play-based learning and crafts in preschool, to actual and targeted reading, writing and math lessons. Kindergarten students will participate in reading, writing and math workshops. They will get used to routines and learn how to be successful students for years to come. This primary year provides a foundation for success in the grades that follow. A kindergarten day consists of many different activities carried out in both small and large groups. We are also eager to form a strong home-school connection this year. When students know they are supported both in school and at home, they thrive! We are looking forward to a successful year, together, in kindergarten!
